95 seadoo gts 587.. 2 stroke oil

Hello guy & gals..need some help,bought a used ski,Put it in the water yesterday. Previous owner had a full tank of gas in it.and I totally forgot to ask him what 2stroke oil he ran.can any one tell me a good off the shelf oil to use. One I can grab locally (Walmart,auto parts store)..I new to this jet ski stuff my first ride was yesterday but I'm hooked..and another thing yesterday while in the water the ski ran great only thing I had a problem with was have to give a little I'm very little throttle to keep it idling any insite would be appreciated .. Come on guys what type of oil do I need.. I searched this and I think I need api-Tc.. Is this rite.is there a decent off the shelf brand,I seen somewhere that a synthetic blend is better than full synthetic for rust protection in the crank.is the is true.. Any advise guys I lost here

On the older 587/657/717 seadoos you can run any type you want. I've used the cheapo wal-mart stuff in mine for years with no problems.

What is the Walmart brand you are referring to.

Super-Tech at about $12 a gallon.
