Installing R&D ride plate and grate on my XL1200 ltd....any tips or ?

I am going to install an R&D ride plate and a new grate on my 00 XL1200 ltd today and wanted to know if there is anything I need to do as well or just unbolt the old ones and bolt up the new ones ??

    Please let me know.

Probably too late but get a pump stuffer kit while your in there.
Heat the bolts to loosen the thread lock. Or you'll likely spin the fitting.
While at it, upgrade the fittings to newer style plates.
Use blue threadlock for reassembly. ( clean/chase the threads)

....perfect time to do a prop.
    Inspect/grease cables
    remove gay spray
    inspect/grease nose cone.

Did you replace the ride plate and grate ? Any noticeable difference ?

Might just be me but it seems to launch way better and the top speed has gained a little as well.
