    Coolant blowing out of overflow

I took my ski to the dealer a week and a half ago and told him coolant was blowing out of the overflow. The dealer contacted sea-doo tech support and they said that is not a effective way of telling if the head gasket is bad? The coolant would blow out after a wot run after I let off the throttle.

Most likely you are either overheating the motor at WOT (hot spots in the head) or you are lifting the head (blown Head Gasket) at WOT.

Why do they not pressure test it?

FYI. In the race cars we log pressure in the cooling system to help spot this sort of thing early.

I have pressure tested myself and found no leaks anywhere. But they are going to do the same just to confirm. This loss of coolant issue has existed since the ski was almost new. I thought there was air pockets in the lines so I topped it off a couple of times and thought nothing of it, since the ski was pretty much new. I am losing faith in seadoo. The IBR was replaced at 75 hours and now a possible head gasket. There quality control and or lack of assembly skills suck

Coolant blowing out of the overflow is a classic sign of a bad head gasket. It wont push a drop until you are WOT most likely.

Did this start prior to your tune? I had an 04 RXP with Rotax ecu and had the same problem. Eventually traded the boat in and never found out why it drained coolant. The ski still did 75.
