Need a little up to date advise
New to the forum. I'm an old school jet skier back from the Wave Blaster & XP800 days. Since then I realize a lot has changed with the ski's and they come with a bunch of pretty good HP and MPH bone stock. I just bought a 2008 RXPX and 2009 RXTX with 42hrs on them. I'm looking for some advise... I searched the forums but didn't find the answer. I'm sure this question has been asked a cpl hundred times, but here it is again. What is the most bang for the buck modification to do to the 2008 RXPX? Its pretty fast now but as most, I want a little more overall performance. Want to keep it reliable and keep the cost down if possible. So, bang for the buck...where should I start? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum
Check this forums online store for the following:
4" kanaflex air intake kit
Riva catch can
R&D X model intake grates
ET 137+4 / XX2 supercharger upgrade
Riva rising rate fuel pressure regulator
Solas 15/22R impeller
That will get you off to a very good start.

In my opinion the most "bang for your buck" upgrade is an ECU flash because it doesn't matter what else you do to the ski if the limiter hasn't been removed.

no limiters other than rpm on old skis

What we used to do to the 08 and up Rxpx was add a 4" cai, pull the flame arrestor out of the intake mani, catch can, add a Riva pump wedge and trim rod, put a 83mm nozzle, 15/22 Solas (pitched to get your rpms to around 8100) and the R&D intake grate. Those mods would get you to 76-77 mph or more.

The intermediate housing will probably take more like 10 pumps. Do it nice...
