    Impros is clueless

I have a 2014 RXT-X 260. I am currently turning about 8500 rpms. I have to get those rpms under my 8375 rev limiter. I called impros and asked to speak with tech support for a pitch recommendation. He suggested I go with a solas 15/22. I said to him " don't you think that is to tall of a impeller" and his reply was the oem impeller is a 15/24, you should be fine. I also asked him about pitching the leading edge to a 14, I mentioned that lots of the guys on green hulk run a 14/20 OR 14/21. His reply was, those guys have special things done to there ski's you will spin that too fast.

Joe, you should leave the pitch of your impeller alone and install the Lucky 13 adjustable cone. That will drop your RPM and at the same time increase performance. They work great!

What prop are you currently running? If Oem pitch is in fact a 15/24, then I also recommend a 15/22

The solas 15/22 drop me 400 rpm. But makes me jump right out of the water

I just installed a 15/20 solas and it dropped my rpm's aprox 200, I went from 8040 down to 7840, I almost ordered my inpeller from impros because they say they check the pitch of each prop before it is shipped, but ended up ordering from 4 tech instead, I am happy with the 15/20

I already have the lucky 13 cone installed and tried different combinations of spacers, it works best with no spacers. I can't comment exactly how many rpms my ski was capable of producing because the rev limiter would kick in and pull back at 8500.

I am running the oem impeller. From my research on this forum you can not compare pitches from the oem impeller to a aftermarket impeller due to the root angles being different.
