1997 seadoo gtx do I need to bore the jug?
I have a 1997 seadoo gtx that only had 80.9 hours it sat for a long time due to the person before me loosing the key. I work on dirtbikes and you can replace a top end without boring it every time and even just replace rings and it would work just fine. Trying to figure out if I need to bore it the jug had zero scoring and is smooth around whole wall of the jug. Pistons don't even look worn but psi is at 120. I would like to just replace the rings and call it a day but I know that probably is going to work. What are my options and what absolutely has to be done.

YOu only bore a cylinder if your using a oversized piston.
use a standard piston, get the whole set , that includes everything you need or a top end, $200, would recomend honing the cylinder just like on a dirtbike

Depends if it is out of round or out spec for the std size. Need a bore gauge to determine wear. Definately hone. But you'll probablby are ok.

I think the crankshaft is the main component needed to change the stroke...
