Making one bird from two stones

So there is a deal out there that I'm thinking about biting on. I'm pretty strapped for cash, but really want a good jet ski to take on my honeymoon to FL here soon. So here goes: there's an 09 VX110 for a good price. Guy claims he didn't winterize the engine and now it's seized. There's another guy selling an engine that got submerged (I"m guessing in salt) in late summer of 2011. The guy claims he drained the water out of it, put in new oil and cranked it over a few times in 2012. Said it even tried to start, but no big success story. So the engine looks like it's been sitting out since then.

The question I have: out of those two dead weights, can I put together one engine that'll be worthy? What would it cost (gaskets, tools, etc) as I am completely new to yamaha building? I've done countless 2stroke seadoos and one 4tec, but never yama. I really want to get a gas sipping and reliable yama. What are you guys' opinions?

Well, it doesn't matter, it's gone now I really feel like I could've had a nice ski for under 2k...
