STX 1100 Owners.. Does your glovebox leak?

I'd like my glovebox to be water proof. Seems to be play in the hinges, but before I waste any time/money on it, does anyone have one that's water tight?

Slide a small length of 3-8th fuel line over the lug on the lid. You will need to push down on it as you lock it.

Here are some pics. This is from my latest one. Previous owner messed up the gasket. I tried to buy a replacement, but no longer available new. I bought a used one on Ebay, but haven't installed it yet. The metal tab is made of stainless, is S-shaped, and has a rubber coating. It is still available for $8, #32085-3726. You'll also need a couple of stainless rivets (OEM setup) or stainless screws & locknuts. For the cost, I'd just buy another one. You can buy the glovebox for $11, if the rivet holes are wallowed out, but you'd have to buy the other hardware, too.

    thanks mate
I got the part number yesterday, my mechanic is having a search for a second hand one
So, the screw holes on mine arent even the correct mounting holes I gather.
To remove the glove box is it just the bolts that hold down the seat latch, or do you have to remove the cross brace up the front too?

I've had the one out of my '98, but I really don't remember what I had to do to remove it. I think it was a pain in the ass.
