So what's the deal with the fuel gauge
Light comes on, fill up and take 13.x gals to fill.
Light back on, put 5 gals in and 5min later all idling, the light is back on
Does this thing really have a 6gal reserve?
reminds me of the duramax. 24 gal tank, 5 gals reserve.
I'm all about some reserve but this shuts the gauges options down when the fuel light comes on.

Yep, the fuel buzzer comes on when you get down to 7 gal.

Yes get use to it ..
Keep this in mind ,50-55 miles(13 gal) fuel alarm will go off from a full tank, then you have another 25-28 miles left (7 gal)..
These are approximate milage numbers as you might squeeze out another 8-10 miles though risky depending if you stay in ECO mode most of the time..Last edited by jetdave56; 05-30-2015 at 08:47 PM.

ok, so I'm not just imaging it.
7 gals seems ridiculous. That's almost half a tank and you gotta stare at a red light the whole.

in round numbers
1/3 out , 1/3 back , 1/3 reserve is the best way to think of it
gauge only starts to work on the 2nd 1/3 of the tank

Just reminds me of my old LBZ Dmax. They already had a small tank, then they left 5 gals for reserve. Light was on all the time. 100 miles of fuel left.
The issue with the ski is I don't ride far, usually. 20 gals all the time is just carrying another 70lbs of weight.

Hold the button to cancel the beeper and keep riding. Keep in mind if you elevate the ski and fill to the cap you will also get more fuel in. When it sits level or front down it forms a nice big air pocket ontop of the tank.

I hope you didn't think I just let the beeper off continually...
I also think you missed the part where I said that 20gals is not needed for 90% of my riding, not sure I will be tilting my ski up at the gas pump..
not trying to be a smart ass....just sayin
