    Blown Piston

So one of the cylinders on my 2002 Seadoo GTX (not DI) went out. I took of the head to find blown piston in the rear cylinder.

Anyone know why or what could of caused this? And what do i need to fix this. or what I should look out for. Any ideas help. Thank you!
I know that I need to resurface the head and bore the cylinders.

Would this kit here be good?

Sure looks like that piston got steam cleaned the piston skirts will tell the rest of the story when you get it apart, head probably leaked.

Looks like a lean condition to me... Pitting is normally sign of detonation

Check the Exhuast and Flange Gaskets as this is the first area where they leak.

I have a bad feeling you've got a lower rod bearing that came apart.
