Body damage on GP
How's everyone doing I'm new to the site .. Name is Matt just got my second GP first one was an 800 and now I just got a 1300 at an amazing price. Bought it from an old man he was the original owner has 39 hours on it.. Said he barely ever rode it. I haven't had the chance to ride it but he's a 30 year Mercedes Benz mechanic so I trust it runs good on the water since it starts right up and looks immaculate other than this small ding up front. I'm dying to ride it this Saturday to make sure it runs.. Can I ride it like this? And is this going to be expensive to fix?

thats a pretty good whack.. It will take alot of skill and could be expensive to fix it 100%, (making it look like it ever happened...)
if it were mine i would patch it and ride it.
there are plenty of videos on youtube..
you need to use good quality marine epoxy resin and hardner...you need to rough up the surface so the epoxy will bind, i would add some fiberglass/kevlar/carbon fiber cloth to the inside, and drill lots of small holes to help the epoxy bind to the hull... then a second coat with an epoxy fairing compound..sand and paint...

Thanks guys .. I will def take it for a test spin on Saturday. I ride in Miami in our bay here and sometimes in the keys.. what kind of upgrades or mods should I look into to make it ride/run better in saltwater/ocean conditions. It's bone stock and was sitting for a year and a half when I bought it a few days ago. The gentleman claims to have started it monthly on the driveway. What kind of maintenance should I do also?

First thing you need to do is take out the Cat and install the D Plate.

These are the 2 items you need. It is not that hard to take out the cat and put in the DPlate.

When you say 'no ignition' that isn't necessarily the case. You could...
