2010 RXT driveshaft to 2011 RXT driveshaft conversion?
Has anyone done a build thread on this conversion?

Several of us have done this procedure, using a Shop Manual. The hardest part is removing the big nut floating ring on the 10 shaft. Most use a heat gun and I know one guy had to cut the shaft in half.
Order 2011-2015 drive shaft, rubber tip, floating ring, carbon ring, c clip, bellows, and PTO bearing seal (it is different from 2010).
With the drive shaft out, is a VERY GOOD time to check the alignment of the engine. I guarantee you it is off from the factory if you have not done this check yet. If you have a bunch of carbon ring dust just below it, there's your sign!
Get a 2011 Shop Manual here: www.brpmanuals.com
I have all the tools to do this job and can rent them to you cheap.

Clearly your carbon ring is trashed. This is commonly due to the engine not being aligned with the pump. You will continue to have this problem until you realign the engine. I have loaned out my alignment tools to 8-9 guys. And 100% of them found it way off!
The procedure is in the shop manual and does require a special fixture to mount to the ride plate.

I think the alignment is probably fine. It lasted 92 hours without issue and I think I drove the final nail in the carbon rings coffin when I was drunk one night in the garage with my buddy's and I started the ski up dry and revved the hell out of it.

maybe someone else will know but I think the setback on 2010 impeller is different then the 2011 up impeller ? Can he use his old impeller with the 2011 up driveshaft conversion?
