A rear air setup is louder, if noise is what you're after

i would like a true cool air intake that is not restricted....and like that idea of using the vents up front

Nothing inside the ski, front or rear, is ever going to be that cool. Everything inside there turns into a sauna with the seats on. Rear air is definitely louder, and more efficient. If cooler air is your goal, a good intercooler is a good investment. I use a rear air setup on my 300 and it's a head turner when you rip the throttle for sure. I see little to no difference in heat soak to be honest between factory and rear air. It is incredibly cheaper to build a rear air setup for sure. Spend the savings toward an intercooler for more reliable power in all weather conditions.

I have the air vents on my RXP on the black cowling....They help and you can defiantly hear the Supercharger more...I don't know where you would put them on a 260..

I posted some pictures on a previous post somewhere I believe. I'd have to dig around to find them. Ill try to take some new ones if I get some free time. My ski is in storage right now.
