Time for small claims court
I busted the dealer that blew my ski up (motor broke 15 minutes after having new throttle cable installed and injectors cleaned), they tried to cover their tracks. They said the pump was hooked up right, it was getting oil and showed me the engine (which is fucking wrecked from lack of oil total loss). The "traces" of oil in the motor are dark blue Yamalube that they must have put in there. The funny thing is, I haven't run yamalube in months I use Klotz Skicraft which is red (guess they didn't check the oil tank lol). They deny everything and won't budge. To court we go!

Save a sample for testing. If its Yamalube, it won't look good in court. Especially if you have a Klotz receipt. Bring it to an independant neutral party who would be willing to report their findings, and have them find a cause. Have them or you take pictures and video if needed. Being that they "went over" the whole ski right before it grenaded, did they offer a cause for the distruction? Even if they never hooked the cable up to the pump, it's designed to default to full WOT oil injection. What exactly failed in the engine? Piston? Crank bearing? Melted or exploded? Maybe since you've been talking to some of the "porters" around, they could help with the situation and you could get beefed up at the same time. I think Tim Judge from Judge motorsports is near you if I'm not mistaken... You won't get much faster than TJ porting from what I hear.

No he is in Florida, Tim Judge is in Dallas Tx. If you can show documentation & 3rd party statement. You may just have a case. Good Luck ... let us know how you make out.

I'm going up there tonight to make a final stand. I'll ask for my ski's value off a new VXR (4k) and we'll call it even and I won't take it to court.
When that fails I might just part ways with my hull (I've had cash offers for 2k get it right now w/o trailer) and use that as a downpayment at ANOTHER yamaha dealer for a new layover black/blue 2014 VXR with 5 year warranty. As bad as I want an FZR I can't justify spending 6 grand extra for 8 mph after mods and less reliability (74 vs 82).

Good luck, I hope you get what you deserve...
but it ain't going to be easy. It's an old ski old engine and that's hard to give warranty and find the final cause.
even with a 3rd party statement it's going to be a Yes No Yes No Yes No....story....

Motor has roasted bearings it was oil starved but the dealership told me and I quote "It's 9 years old with 116 hours, prove it was us". Sadly, they're right. They're getting away with murder. I'm not going to pursue court.
Motor is getting shipped to West coast Porting to be fixed, ported, and milled head. Cheaper and more reliable than a 4tec swap.
Several buddies want me to just sell it for an RXP and get away from the GP, but idk. I have 5 buddies with RXP's, only 1 of them currently runs. Their argument isn't very compelling.

Well you sure gave up quickly. If it were me I'd make up a large sign saying this dealership blew up my motor and refused to warranty their work, attach it to the ski and park outside their dealership. Id bet you get some offers from them pretty quickly to get it resolved. A guy I know did that with a lemon car, it took a week of parking it on the street outside the dealership but they finally offered him a full refund.

I think the crankshaft is the main component needed to change the stroke...
