Can I use 780 carbs on a 750?
As in title, I have fresh 780's I want to replace my un-fresh 750's with. Looking to do some future horsepower mods but still mostly stock. Can I use the 780's and lean the needles down a bit? Any tips or info? Thanks!

The 780 high speed jets are 110s while the 750s are 90s. You would be better off swapping high and low jets from the old set of carbs then working from there....

Hmm ok.. Not the answer I was hoping for but I was considered my doing that.. What I was HOPING to do is have slightly over built leaned down carbs so I have good leeway when continuing with mods and also less headache. Would the fuel be mixing too poorly or the needles be too sensitive to tune well you think ? It's only about a ten percent hp difference that's the reason I was hoping it would work.
I do t know, any way to avoid swapping it just to later swap it again?

Trial and error I guess.... If you have them off now, why not just put the right jets in instead? Even with the 90s in it would still only be a starting point. I have ended up at 95s, 102.5s, and even 105s depending on multiple factors.. and the mood of the motor that day.....
