First ride for the Red and Blue MSX together.
Took the pair out yesterday. Both preformed awesome. The Blue EMM was bad when I purchased it and the hull was damaged on the RED one. I sent both EMMs to Harris. This was the maiden voyage for the Red one since the hull rapair and the EMM serviced by Harris. The two machines ran awesome side by side. Top GPS speed yesterday was 57.4 on the lake in Madison about 15 minutes into our second lag 4.8 miles from the start. Saw 5900 RPMS a few times but mostly 5500 to 5650. TOP GPS speed on Tichagain was 54.5.
We did 21 miles in Madison and 14 miles on Tichagain.
Test ran the 2001 Virage TXi on the trailer seem to run good but I have a leak between the exhaust can and the resonator rubber hose, it is not completely on and the clamp on it is not holding anything.
Will fix this morning then out for a test ride.

That is about 1000 RPM below expected. Max RPM on the water at full throttle should be in the 6700-6900 range.

Thanks Keith,
I will confirm RPMs today. What should the Virage TXi run for RPMs?

My 03 that I bought new would run about 6600-6650rpm. Almost never above 6650. Great ski but a real turd performance wise.

Similar to the MSX 140 or a tad lower, perhaps 6500-6700?
Slight differences in impeller pitch, weather/temperature, water conditions, etc all affect peak sustained RPM.
edit: I might be misremembering which model runs which RPM

his speeds seem ok though just low rpm like I had
I think mine was closer to 6300 rpm's now that I think about it I was trying to find my thread I had on it yrs ago ,I know keith's always pulled real good rpms that's why I was wondering why mine was so low but I also had good speeds thoughLast edited by 785 lugs; 05-24-2015 at 12:31 PM.

Today will be the TXis first run purchased it last year not running. Replaced stator and flywheel, New SBT reman. impeller, wear ring, pump thur bearing, and the jet pump bearings. Aligned jet pump courtesy of MR Matrix. Just fix the resonator leak that was discovered yesterday during the test run on the trailer.
Now waiting for the heavy rain to stop. I do not have a problem with the rain but my co-riders are somewhat reluctant, however any lighting I am off the water for sure.

TXi test ride results here.... http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=232657
The little lady was running the red MSX today. So however much fuel we use in the yesterday is what is left in the tank. Gauge still shows full. GPS max speed was 58.16. That is about 1 MPH faster than me yesterday. She is also 100lbs lighter than me also..

My 03 msx 140 runs 6600 to 6800 depending on conditions. It ran 6700 yesterday. I clicked off a 60.1 on mine yesterday as well.
