    Et 137+4 with stock tune?

Is it possible to put this drop in wheel with just the addition of a fuel presure regulator with the factory tune? I see most everyone goes straight to the vtech and I am considering it, I am just wondering what gains can be made with some more boost and a 15/20 impeller, I have a scom already so the speed limiter is not an issue,

Thanks Sanfish, I just got the new ibr installed and put about 100 miles on it yesturday, it was a great ride, and of coarse now sitting here looking for the next mod, 70 just isnt enough! I think 75 would be.

No matter what your going to need either a Vtech tune, R&D reflash, or Motec if you want to hit 75MPH with the supporting mods.

I was curious, I read another post about a guy that put a 137+4 with a rude fuel controller and stock ecu on an older rxp and he claimed 80mph @ 8100 rpm,, It sounded like a good way to go, I like the idea of keeping the rpms down if possible, I thought it would be a simular mod like i did to my old 07 rxp, when I put the x charger on and 42lb injectors and felt a huge gain, thats the great part about this forum, you can ask someone else that has already tried it or knows someone that has to save yourself a headache and from throwing money away,

I would just go with a few simple mods like R&D R1, R2, or R3 depending on everything your thinking of doing or a Vtech tune with one of there new recreational tunes. Then do the intake and prop(15/20 prop). Pitch the prop to come in that 8200-8250 RPM(8300-8350MAX) and you should have a very reliable ride and be in that 73-75MPH area depending on conditions. You could also play around the one of the performance grates to see if you can squeeze anything more out of it or a Lucky 13 cone.

The I control skis not only have speed limiters but also boost limiters. My 12 RXTX went 72 with basic bolt ons and a scom. I got a vtech tune and it felt like a whole new ski. Went from 7psi to almost 10psi with a stock blower, and was able to do 76.0mph GPS at 8250rpm in 50 degree weather

What prop did you use to go 76 at 8250?

I ran my 137+4 on the stock tune for almost a year. Tuned with Bosch 48lb injectors and a RRFPR without any issues. Make sure you watch your AFR's (wideband is a must) It took some adjusting with the regulator, but I saw 78 mph on that setup. It did take an ECU to get me over the 80 mph mark though. There are many posts regarding doing this, so I don't understand why people are saying that it cannot be done, but maybe there is a difference with the 2012 models... I never had any lean issues on my 2009 while running the stock tune. Good luck
