    Fresh rebuild break-in questions

I've just rebuilt an '02 Limited 4tec. It is non-supercharged and just needed a basic overhaul. I put in a standard oil for break-in and ran it at the lake today for about 20 minutes. Everything seems just fine. How long should the break-in be on a standard overhaul? How long should I leave the oil in before swapping out to Mobil 1 synthetic? Also the oil filter cap went on tight but there is a small gap and I can see some of the o'ring. Is that normal. It's not leaking at all.

after 3-4 hours use I consider them completely broken in.
    Change oil at 10 hours
    Small gap is normal
