Use silicone (e.g. 3M 4200FC or 5200FC) on the mating surfaces of the intake grate, you don't have to actually seal the sides of it (the silicone will blow out). Personally, I follow the service manual for my FZR which recommends red loctite on the intake grate bolts. The Riva instructions recommend blue loctite (which is not as strong as red). To be honest, the use of loctite is a pretty polarizing topic here on GH.... I've seen people swear by it, and others say it is a waste and they use silicone or anti-seize. I always defer to official yamaha documentation (e.g. the service manual) in situations like that.

You want to use FC (Fast Cure), opposed to the non-FC slow cure products. Not 100% sure how long the FC takes to cure since I don't have a tube in front of me, but probably 24-48 hours is my guess. The more humid and the hotter it is, the faster it will cure.

I really can't tell from the picture, can you explain a little more what exactly is wrong? For what it's worth, I have trouble installing my R&D grate because the bolt holes were tough to line up while underneath the ski, but I ended up first getting one bolt in and then the next bolt I put it was diagonally across from the first one so that it would line up good. Next, I installed the rest and hand tightened them before torquing all the bolts down in the same criss-cross pattern.

Where i circled in red its almost like the pump housing is shifted towards the left a bit, and it was a pain to line up.

Actually the more humid the slower, but the warmer will speed it up. FC is about 24hrs for full cure, but it will fully set tack free in 2hrs. I find its more like 1hr for it to set when warm out.

That looks more like a transom and rideplate issue
