Rxp 260 holds throttle when turning... Normal?

So I have a 2014 rxp x 260. Still in the break in, about 4hr now. I just noticed that when I'm at a lower speed doing a full turn I can release the throttle and it will maintain that speed. I can even turn it in the other direction, when it passes the half way point it will idle down and then throttle up again when I get to the other direction... I don't like this, seems like a safety issue, unless I don't understand what this feature is for... Any input of this is normal or not would be greatly appreciated!

It's your O.T.A.S. which stands for Off Throttle Assistance System. Normal. It's designed to help you avoid obstacles in certain circumstances.

Can this be deactivated in the settings? I like to have full control and not the unpredicted auto throttle...

You only have 4hrs on ski. Don't worry, you will get use to it. I almost never have it activate and don't find it bothersome - and I'm picky about things that are "automatic"

Also, it only kicks in when you are above a certain (slow) speed - and reducing speed with finger off throttle. So once you find the spot it kicks in, you can easily avoid or work around it.

Due to liability, I don't know anything that can turn that feature off. Maybe BUDS "megatech" can....

It will only activate if you have been above 4000 to 5000 rpm, then dump the throttle and turn the bars.... If your idling and turn the bars, it will not work...

It is designed to help keep the idiots out of a crash....

I thought it could be deactivated by removing the magnet from inside the steering column.

It can be turned off in the menus. It's in your manual.
