Timing issue?
Quick background - Replaced timing gear only from a 2004 4tec crank onto my 2002 4tec crank all work done by large reputable repair facility, they specialize only in crankshaft rebuilding. Replaced balance shaft from a 2006 4tec. Timing chain to crank and cam are correct!! Balance shaft lined up with crankshaft gear mark. Motor was bench cranked worked fine. I have spark and fuel to each cylinder the motor does not fire at all. Also after about 2-3 seconds of cranking engine stops rotating with a clunking sound like it wants to fire but stops. I release the start button as not to fry starter, press start again same cycle, Anybody have something similar to this?
