Hurricane cover protection
When I got my Hurricane in 2011 I bought an OEM polaris hurricane cover for it (red and yellow). In that time all I did was wash the cover with a power hose while on the ski not much else. This last year the cover has gotten weak and started tearing. Over the winter I bought a new cover for it but knowing that the cane was such an oddball ski I would like to figure out what I can do to make the cover last more then 3-4 years. Any suggestions?
Oh and I knew it was breaking down because my hands would get stained red from the cover.

I cover my skis with the OEM cover for storage. I then put a blue tarp over that secured with bungee cords. Protects the covers from the elements and the tarp is waterproof.
