1999 Polaris SLTH CDI box help

I have a 1999 Polaris SLTH that has a bad stator. I am trying to figure out if the CDI was updated before I got it. If anyone could give me some advice that would be greatly appreciated.

That is a Gen 3 CDI box. Get the gen 3 stator

Are you saying that I have the updated CDI? Also how do I know if a stator is a gen 3? Thanks for such a quick reply.

If you have a Gen 3 CDI chances are the stator is too. You would have to see the stator. Post a pic of it if you can

That looks like a Gen III stator to me.

Kinda rusty, but should still be OK as long as it passes the ohm checks on the stator coils and the Hall Effect sensors are good.

If I remember correctly it failed the ohm checks. I will double check when I get home. I can't seem to find any stators that say they are gen 3. What should I look for to know if it is a gen 3 or not?

It needs to be for a 2 cylinder and look like the one in the pics. Where are you getting your specs for ohm checking the stator? The specs need to come from a 2000 or later manual.

I was not aware I needed an updated manual. I had been using the original manual, do you know where I could find an updated manual?
