Don't Have A Dolley or Stand, Can I use Trailer to work on PWC?

97 SLX 780. Want to install a few aftermarket parts, can I do all this correctly and safely on a trailer?

    Thanks!

I prefer working on a trailer. too much can go wrong during a transfer to a shop dolly.

of course some trailers are better than others...

I have a couple of skis that I always have to pull off the trailer to service ( don't ask why)

I prefer using a shop cart, just way less shin damage and back strain from leaning over the fenders and working around trailer frame. That said, I have certainly done plenty of work with watercraft on a trailer.

Check that the trailer is properly weight biased towards the tongue, you don't want the whole thing to tip backwards when you lean into the hull. If there is any doubt, hook the trailer up to your tow vehicle. That will prevent the trailer from moving while you work.
