Can anybody identify this part please?
Hi guys, I've just had a friend send me this message over and he wants me to identify this part as it needs replacing but he does not know what it is.
Thanks for any help.
The ski is a xp but he can't tell me the year or engine size as he has no idea lol.
The part to me looks like many somthing to do with the VTS trim system.
And and this is the ski, one of the photos shows where this part came from, from the front inside the hull just under the handle bars.

Wow I have never seen one burn up like that! Its a 97 Seadoo XP 787 regulator/rectifier.
Part number 7. You can get a aftermarket way cheaper of course.

Only trim parts are the buttons on the bars and the module itself in the back of the ski.

If it were mine, I would be pulling the flywheel cover to make sure you don't have water in there. That and can cause shorts and results like this. If you don't want to pull cover, at the very least check wire connection on fly cover and see if anything is shorted (using ohm meter).
FYI: Yellow and Yellow/Black
