    Piston deposits.

Any one seen this before? Is it oil from blow by/ valve stem, to rich, leaking intercooler?
    Open to any advise.
Engine stripped because of flywheel bolts.

Does it burn oil? Almost looks like a 2 stroke piston.

My stock pistons looked just like that at about 400 hours when the motor was pulled to freshen up.. The motor was stock at that point with only 42lb injectors and x-charger added to a 215 ski, I had run the x-charger and 42lb injectors for about 100 hours before the motor was pulled, I just thought maybe it was from running a little richer with the larger injectors.. I was not burning oil, my "deposits" were pretty much all jet black though

Is it on one cylinder or all 3? It could possibly be from burning a small amount of coolant. I have seen it on cars before. A small coolant leak into the combustion chamber leaves a whitish greyish kind of residue.

Really???Are you for real???So what would cause the valve pocket to disapear and cause the top of the piston to deteriorate???Never seen anti freeze do that before,BUT then again im not a professional like you..Suggestion,Maybe you should stay in the Polaris section seeing you dont have a clue about Seadoo 4 tecs...

Martin is correct...detonation is the problem with this piston/cylinder/motor...Look to the right at the top of the piston, you can see it is gone...Those deposits are from your cylinder melting..
