Who Seals their Intake Grates?
Just wondering what everyone else does. I've changed several grates and I've always sealed them with 3M 5200.
I bought a used grate here on greenhulk for my new FZR and I'm installing it on Friday. Problem is the sealant wont be ready for the water by the weekend
I've heard a lot of people say they don't use any silicone or anything, just bolt it on and put some locktite on the threads (which I do anyway).
Thoughts? Pros and Cons of Sealing?

You can always seal it later. You can you the fast dry 5200 you know.

The only 3M 5200 (or 4200) you want to use on the intake grate is on the mounting surface. IMO its totally unnecessary to seal the sides of the grate because it will blow out.
