Kawasaki changed the cluster design in the STX I think started in 2015 so I wanted an updated look. Also the fuel pump and sending unit are all one complete unit now it will allow me to use a different fuel tank.

Updated the oil catch can yesterday these are not suppose to leak oil out of the breather like the original round style can. Had to modify the bracket but fit perfect.

After spending the last 2 weeks getting my STX-15X to run, I'm looking at your work with a little more educated eye. It indeed does look like you've got more room to work than in the STX hull.

Did you give any thought to using the STX airbox? I seem to flip my 150 a lot () and water ingestion would be a concern. Did you add a second cooling water port to the 150 jet pump? I'm fortunate to have an Ultra 130 fuel tank, which should make the fuel injection swap much easier. However, it seems that there is an endless variety of fuel pumps, vents, fuel rail fittings, etc. to consider. I guess the easiest thing to do it use what comes out of the STX, and if it has a vented fuel pump, simply cap the Ultra 130 tank vent.

I noticed a wire with a plug laying across your fuel tank. Is that part of the conversion, or part of the stereo?

Did the oil catch can make any noticeable difference?

I agree with you on the trim bracket. I modified mine many years ago and that was absolutely the best thing you can do to those 'Skis!

Anything else that you would do differently on this conversion? I realize that you're working on something better right now.

Man, I'm getting anxious to do this!!!

I didnt try to install the stx air box i never flip mine, you could probably get it to fit but you would need to customize the hose from the intake to the air box, where i mounted the ecu might be in the way. Yes you have to modify the pump for 2 water inputs there is a picture of my mod on the first page. Drill a hole through the bilge side of the pump to make it push water and plug the other end to delete the bilge. The stock 15f pump fits perfect in the 130 fuel tank i think you just have to use a different sending unit, i would try the 130 sending unit should work. I will show you my 130 tank when i have it complete in the next few weeks. Im plugging the 130 fuel vent on my tank. There where two things laying on the fuel tank in the video one is the oil pressure line and the other is the wiring the my air fuel ratio o2 sensor. The stereo was never installed and all of it has been removed. I have not tested the catch can yet just installed this winter. I wanted this ski to stay as much ultra 150 as possible other than the engine but i wonder what it would be like with the stx pump, not an easy thing to change the whole pump tunnel would have be modified and you will not have trim. My new project will more than answer that question. Im still working on dialing this ski in, i will have three different props i will be testing this year.

I can't wait to get to work on mine! But I've got a bunch of other projects to do before I get to it. I'm trying to find fuel tanks for Ultra 130s, but they're very hard to find.
