That does not look like any tent I've ever seen.......

Arrow Harsens Island 2015 per person costs, payment schedule

Here are the cost numbers, as best as we can get them. Bear in mind that there are a bunch of moving pieces involved in the costs and also in how many people are present on different days. The current math is extrapolated from the attendance poll thread.
As long as the actual numbers are close to the polled head count, I expect these numbers to hold.

Prices are per person per day/night

    Thursday in cabin $55
    Thursday in tent $45

    Friday in cabin $45
    Friday in tent $40

    Saturday in cabin $45
    Saturday in tent $40

Two people staying in the cabin for all three nights would be $290
Two people staying in their own tent for three nights would be $250

Those staying in tents will have of course full use of the house and property during the day, along with the meals, etc.
There is some room in the house for air mattress accommodation, but I do not know exactly how many will reasonably fit until we actually get there.

These numbers include the property rental and the anticipated food costs. Once you have paid the total for the time you will be present, we do not expect to ask for more later.

That said, if there is property damage that triggers forfeit of the damage deposit we expect people to stump up as necessary. This should not occur if we respect the property and the stated rules.

For those that wish to join us at the property just for the day, we ask that you contribute $15 per person. That will help out with spreading the costs across everyone who participates.

Prepayment is required by June 10, 2015

If you want a PM with the correct total Amount for your particular stay, just send me a PM to me.

    Cancelation policy

Once payment has been received, cancellation notice received prior to June 15 will be full refund, minus any PayPal fees.

Cancellation received after June 15 will be refunding for the meal costs allocation only, $10 per person per day.
Property rental and overhead costs portion is not refundable after June 15.

The issue is that sharing the costs makes it relatively inexpensive overall, but if people back out and do not pay then the costs for the remaining group increase. To avoid having the shared costs jump around, prepay and committing ahead of time ensures that the costs for everyone else can remain predictable and stable.

Payment will be to Bryan via PayPal, gift mode please.
If you must send a check, please PM Bryan for the mailing address. Remember that payment is due before June 10.

In round number terms, budget for around $50 per person, per night, maybe a little higher. Covers the property rental and fees, and a good portion of the shared food costs...

There is also a damage deposit. Hopefully no damage occurs, but there is a chance that the deposit is forfeited if something happens. If something does occur, I expect people can agree to chip in appropriately so Bryan and myself are not stuck with the costs.

    Other costs not included;
    Alcohol beverages
    Gasoline
Your own Ferry rides to the island
Travel costs to get to Harsens Island and back home
    Watercraft/equipment breakage

Value of seeing friends and riding some rather unique waters: priceless

The rental property looks to be quite nice and the overall value as a vacation experience seems very much within reason.

We are definitely open to suggestions for what we should get for food/beverages.

Only suggestion I have heard so far is for Cheetos.

Adult beverages are of course on your own

Does that mean you are making an appearance? Do I need to bring your Pro 1200?
