You won't notice a gain. It is very loud and has a VERY annoying low tone at around 3000 RPM's. The thru hull exhaust sounds much better with no annoying sound.

would it be better to just put the ppg powerpipe in there and be done with it or isn't worth it? any more gains or just wasting my time?

The PPG power pipe is a much better alternative than the stock exhaust hose and free flow pipe. If you are going to spend that much you may as well spend a bit more and get the Riva thru hull.

i've ridden a ski with a Power Pipe, and my ski with the thru-hull....
the thru-hull is far less annoying, looks better, and sounds much more aggressive without that annoying 3000 rpm cranium vibration throughout every nerve and bone on your body.
the install difficulty is like double as hard with the thru-hull, altho easier if u got 2 guys for the whole job... but well worth itplus, the thru hull clears out alot of junk in the hull and saves some weight

I agree, The PPG power pipe non-resonated one is very annoying to the misses, especially at low speeds and in no-wake zones the resonance/decibel factor is high, but quiets down with speed. All of my cars/trucks either had Flowmasters or Magnaflow exhaust`s on them, so the PPG pipe doesn`t bother me. And people know somethin`s up when you fire that sucker up!...

The Riva thru hull sounds just like my flowmaster on my truck. Nice rumble, but not excessivly loud.
