I usually go through most of a tank of gas per outing...40-ish dollars, plus drinks, snacks/sandwiches etc. many times eat at a local water front restaurant. Luckily, the boat ramp is close.

I met a lady this weekend who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, lung cancer and liver cancer.

Life is short; sometimes you just gotta say F it; let's ride.

if I added costs I'd stay home! It costs me about 1000 for a 3 day weekend on average. Cali to the river for me is 256 miles one way. Skis are really cheap, if it helps, I got buddies that drop 2 to 4 G's just on fuel for a weekend in their Magic and Skater boats! Now that's pricey, lol.

I'm definitely not wealthy but when I go out I don't care. I'm out to relax and I don't want to think about money. I worry enough about money every other second of my life.

I said to myself when i worry about what it costs to ride when i want for however long I want then I get rid of the skis.
When we go to the lake we usually drop 5 to 600 on fuel for the week. We will do 150 miles a day a couple of times . Thats 2 fill ups per ski. Its only money.

    Donations gladly accepted.

For anyone looking to do any distance riding our last trip was fairly long and our fuel economy in a mixture of calm and rough water was 6.2mpg (30mph for half the trip, 15mph for half the trip <-- severely rough water). I'd bet that if we didn't have to spend an hour in 8ft waves we could have gotten over 6.5, maybe better. This was using cruise for the 30mph portion and eco/touring through the waves.

Same trip back equal parts 15mph through the rough and 50mph when calm was 5.2mpg.
