Pressurised air to remove water from exaust after flushing??
Just purchased a brand new RXP-X 260 RS and i m reading through the manual. It says to put pressurised air after flushing the intercooler and exhaust with water so it removes the water thats left in there. What do you guys think of that? And also can i rinse the engine with salt away or just water?

I ride in salt water for as long as i remember...Dont need to remove water after flushing unless you store your ski in sub zero temps But rinse the intercooler every time! Use salt away for flushing the cooler and wash your ski with salt away as well. Spray your engine after every ride with smt similar to xps lube and you dont need to rinse the engine with water every time..Yes it is better to rinse the engine with salt away.

..and also fill the holes under the seat with hot glue. They are for water to drain..but in your case you will have salt water dripping on to your engine..not good. It is better to re-make your seat after, maybe, 8-10 years due to moisture, than having to deal with salt water dripping every time...

well even if i fill in the seat holes i ll still be getting a lot of water in the ski coz i m riding into chop only... and when water goes in it vaporizes from the heat and leaves the salt... so i guess i just have to spend the extra time taking good care of the engine!! but thanks for the tip anw bro!!

Water in the waterbox creeps moisture back to the engine valves and cylinders if you store it or don't use the ski past a month or so.. jmo So fog it real quick if you dont know when you will ride again.
