Ski Pylon
I was looking at this for my RXT.

I thought it would be $50 to $100. I thought $320 was outrages. I saw another one for $290

What makes these so expensive? Are they gold plated!!! Seems like a rip off to me. Am I just living in the past?

My guess is that Richard can do much better on that part.
His prices are great.

Not much of a markup...if shipping to me costs $12(estimate) I could sell one for $267 plus what it costs to ship to you....still expensive for what it is.

i saw one on ebay recently for a bargain...
it jut doesn't interest me at all bc i can still tow tubes and skiiers without it, so why spend 300 on something i can already do? Plus it adds weight to the ski!!!!!

Only reason I can think to buy one is its great for the spotter...Gives them something to hold on to.

it is way too expensive. I agree with you shibby I thought it would be good because when I tow my wife in a tube my 6 year old sits backwards as the spotter. I thought she would be more stable having the hand holds on the pylon rather then the back of the seat.
I am not concerned with the extra weight, my wife normally rides the RXT and since I have 65 pounds on here she either always keeps up with me or beats me in a race!
Anyway for that kind of money she can hold the seat.

How well does it pull a skier up out of the water?
Have you ever pulled a wakeboard? Ive have never done it but wanted to try. Dont you have to have the rope up high to do so?

I've pulled tubers, skiers and wakeboards. All are fine with the hook that is there. The higher rope may help a bit but I doubt $300 worth!

i've done everything with my RXT.... i spent 2 tanks of gas on the 4th of July pulling my brothers, cousins, and mom on all sorta of watersports.
Tubing, Waterskiing, Kneeboarding, and my one cousin wakeboarded behind my RXT.
They all normally were towed behind my grandpa's boat, but they had a much easier time gettin pulled up by my ski and i have no pylon or anything.
you are right about the spotter sitting backwards, but to be honest, you can't pull someone recreationally more than like 30-35 mph on skis of a kneeboard.... at that low of a speed i stand up on my ski on one side in the footwell and drive the ski looking in front of my from time to time and watching the towee behind me.
tubers....... they get yanked doing 60 mph and turn at WOT. Fun stuff seeing that tube get pulled out from underneath them.
