Sprag clutch on the supercharger broken
Ski changed all of a sudden and was way down on power. Too to dealer and got the bad news. It is just out of warranty but dealer indicated Yamaha will cover all or most. I'm looking for all. Ski has 60 hours and ridden but never abused. I switched from Sea-Doo to Yamaha for reliability. Any help with convincing Yamaha to do the right thing is appreciated.

We have two of them with 250 hrs each on the original clutches.
Did you get the extended 5 year warranty?

I have 09 FXSHO with 118hrs on it with the original clutches! No Problems at all! Just did all maintenance as the service manual said! I sold my fxsho and got new seadoo rxpx! I hope i won't have any major problems with my new machine!

If the ski is out of warranty, anything you get for free is just good will from Yamaha. I would take it without complaining. They don't have to do anything for you if your warranty is expired. Its commendable on Yamaha's part that they will cover any of it if its out of warranty. What year is your machine and how long was the warranty you had?

when you are out of warranty , you are out, i'm not buying the dealer b/s , what's going to happen they are going to take your ski, take apart and later call you and tell you because its out of warranty yamaha does not want to cover shi t .
always remember, they are there to make money, and not going to install a freaking bolt for free. and yamaha already made their money when they sold the ski.
unfortunately you will have to cover the whole repair .

Buy the updated clutch and do it yourself. There is a step by step how to here. I did mine on my GPRSHO and it's a much more difficult job in my hull.

Yamaha have been covering many skis out of warranty
But if you have mods they are not so helpful
In or out of warranty

You will probably find they will go you halves in the repair. You will pay labour and they will pay parts
