I suspect he's cracked it. I spoke with him over the off season about the various issues with Kaw ECU's

Pretty smart guy so if it was doable at all, he's done it. If you check his site he's done quite a bit with the motorcycle immobilizer systems

In any case still cheaper then a new kaw ecu.

Don't know what the customs duty is or if these are being declared properly.

I shipped a new ECU and keys to a guy in Denmark last year and the duty was over $300! ( still cheaper then buying a new ECU from local dealer however.)

Sorry to everyone for the delay in responding... like most, I have not been back here because all was going GREAT with the ski!...........I am starting a new thread with my recent issue.

It does start and run just fine and I have put almost 10 hours on it at this point. I have had no issues with it at all (related to the ECU at least). I am very happy with the unlocking service and have sent a few people over to him with similar results.

Someone mentioned a tax on the item but there should not be an import tax assessed on these. They are not entering the country for consumption within the country. The ECU is only going into the country for service and then it is exported right back out of the country.

I am no expert on importation laws, I can only comment on my experience. I was not assessed any taxes on the ECU. The contents were clearly labeled on the outside of the package going both ways. It was also listed a personal item being sent for repair.

Many companies reprogramming OEM ECU using after market specialised software, hardware or both, so why would you think Kawasaki is any harder to crack. (it's not illegal to reprogram your own keys)

    Everything is hackable $$$$$

As you mentioned the Immobilizer is reprogrammed to the new keys and to the other post that mentioned a tune, no the section where the tunes are stored is not the same place in fact they are 2 diff chips alltogether, If any Kawazaki 250/260/300/310 users in the USA have lost all keys, I can help there is no need to ship them overseas and my turnaround time is 1-3 days.
