Salt Rinsing
Am pretty fussy about getting all the salt off and out of the ski after every use, rinsing flushing etc.
Have realised that the intake/impellor etc are not getting through flushed. Thinking of designing a vertical nozzle stand for the spare hose. Slide under the ski and squirt into the intake while running the engine to flush through the exhasut.
Anyone else done this? Is this taking the washing thing just a step too far?

Well you don't need your motor to run to rince your pump, just do the normal flush then stick the hose in the pump, motor stopped, go inside to grab a beer, by the time you're back the pump is safe.

Sorry to ask a newbie question. What do you mean "stick the hose in the pump"? Where do you stick the hose? (I can do the beer part okay)

LMAO @ 11....
I'd highly recommend you go buy some "Salt Away" ... it's a concentrate product that has a mixing unit u attach to the garen hose. it dissolves any and all salt in and outside the ski. i flush with it and rinse with it. and then for the pump, just take the hose and as 11 said, squirt it in there like a mother fucker.... from behind tho!!

A discussion on salt and not even mentioning the Margarita should be criminal.
