Damn! I had 09 FXSHO with 118hrs with no problems at all! I just do normal maintenance! But sold it few weeks ago! Bought new ski '14 Seadoo RXPX and I hope this new ski will last as long like Yamaha Reliability! Finger Crossed!

I make a point of not responding/replying to brand specific posts...but I'm making an exception here.
You may see good service life out of the Seadoo...IF you follow everything to the letter of the law on maintenance procedures and you rebuild your supercharger much sooner than the 200hr requirement. So in theory, one could get 118hrs from a Seadoo...but it will definitely be more expensive in the long run maintenance wise.
The Japanese work under a different mindset vs the Canadians. I work for a Japanese company and everything is slow, methodical and calculated. They don't act before thinking long/hard about all the possible outcomes. This is evident with Yamaha and their watercraft in this case. They want an ultra reliable platform that will just plain work. They've actually broken their shell a bit with the new 2014 SVHO and have provided enthusiasts with an awesome starting platform that isn't anywhere near tapped out.
Just my 2 pennies...
