I wanna build one too, but I got no funds for that so I'll have to live vicariously through you on this one for now. Thus I'm throwing a 780 in my spare cane hull for now.Take lots of pictures for me. Which jugs ya going with?

so what are THE cases to run on this or is there a difference at all?i see 3 different #'s over the years for early 700's,late 700's and the octane 777,and the late 777 fi stuff.will a stock 700 curve be sufficent by bumping the initial 2 degrees as mentioned before?any case work needed to fit the 017 1200 jugs?

looks like a go,700 ate the mag crank bearing and is out and stripped down.

700 cases are probably good, pulled the jugs off and the crank spins freely, got the polaris exhaust manifold gaskets and octane style cylinder base gaskets headed my way.have plenty of bolts now from the 700.

cases look good, bolted them back together with the 1200 jugs and domes for shipping.

lol....
I saw Doug's crank today and its gorgeous. All shiny and new, and best of all, straight as an arrow. There is even video of Dougs crank.
Polaris allows .005 run-out and Doug's is about 1/4 of a thou on both ends. Good deal.Last edited by CrazyA; 01-19-2015 at 07:42 PM.
