Skat prop hitting Help!!!
Hey guys
Just bought a second hand drive shalft and skat prop that had rebuilt to .02 and repitch to 13/26 but went to install it and when I do the nut up on the shalft the back of the prop hits the housing.
I thinking think I could shim the prop out but I have not idea what gap to run and also why this is happing.
Any help would be great.
Thanks Matt

Take your pump cone off and loosen your drive shaft nut. Tap your drive shaft forward enough so the prop hub doesn't hit on the pump. Then tighten your drive shaft nut and install your pump cone back on. The more you push the prop away from the stator vanes, the longer the pump will last.
