Dont know all states but is almost all it is against the law to purposefully splash someone. In only a few local spots is it against the law to go fast.

If you know what you are doing sure it ca be done reasonably safely. That being said i dont recall ever seeing anyone do it that I would say knew what they were doing.

Its a stupid thing to do.

An experienced rider that has skill and ANY sense would not even attempt to do this. I guarantee over in "another" forum I'm in, this thread would have been closed after the first post.

I guess folks over here are a little more willing to allow others to give their opinions

But I do agree - the horse is dead, guys.

I'm more than willing to hear opinions, but when it comes to safety and hurting the sport I love, I draw the line

It all comes down to common sense and experience. If someone is looking for some extra fun while out on the water, knows what they are doing, and does it in a professional manner, I don't see a problem with it.

this is how dangerous it is..

I was driving the T-X.. my buddy was filming.. he wanted a "splash" on the camera for a video montage we were putting together for the year..

my first one was CLOSE.. TOO CLOSE, I didn't realize he was idling forward, after the camera was turned off we both agreed not to do that again

Thats not smart. You should have been off to the side of your buddy that you were going to turn towards so if you did the slide like that you wouldnt slide into him. Thats how I have done it in the past. You have to plan for something to go wrong like sliding out in the turn. Ride up along side him and turn away to send the spray his way.

And to close the thread on the OP would have been better, versus letting his/her PWC peers 'school' them a bit on why its wrong?

I'm far from a moron, the point of me posting the video was to show even people that know what they are doing can make mistakes. Was it a stupid stunt. Yep. Did we do it again since no. There is no need for name calling.
