You are not going to go much faster without a reflash. Even when a SCOM does become available it's just going to remove the speed limiter. You will still be locked down at 7800 RPM and the boost limiter will still be intact.
I didn't think a yamaha needed a speed control override module. I thought that was for a seadoo Would an fz need a scom and a reflash.

Another question: why is it called a reflash? Does it have something to do with flash memory.
I'm sure if from the nand flash that the rom is stored on. It could most likely be eMMC memory which is non volatile.

When a reflash for the actual SVHO ecu comes out the tachometer will work.
It's only when you reflash an older model ECU and use it on a SVHO ski that the tach doesn't work.

Yamaha didn't need a speed control override module until the 2014 SVHO models. These skis have a speed limiter on them.
Yamaha has never had a speed limiter on previous models.

They call it a reflash because you are reprogramming the stock ECU. Reprogramming refllashing same shit different smell

It will if it's reflashed/mapped to work on an SVHO ski

    Reprogramming ECU

Years ago I was going to reprogram my Audi and it had a wireless remote
to set it back to factory programming. This would be nice if you have to bring
    your ski in for service.

Jerry, do you have to change any wiring on the 2014 after you get one of the old ecu's reflashed or is it plug and play?

Also will the change of thermostat fix the overheating problem? I don’t remember any of the prior models overheating with a LB wheel.
