Just picked up a orange 3 seater. Traded in my RXT215 for something that I can have fun on again. I have a VX Cruiser for long runs or pulling the tube and a 32 Intrepid for everything else. This one is just for fun. Can't wait for it to get warmer in Clearwater!

I was just telling my brother-in-law today to take his ski out this weekend. Told him no way if I picked up my ski I would make it home without getting it wet. Then again this is my first ski so I'm a bit anxious. It's gonna be 80 tomorrow.

Do find someone to ride with for at least the first couple of outings. Even a brand new watercraft can have unexpected teething problems, so it is good to have an experienced ride buddy nearby.

Also make sure you have a tow rope and understand what needs to be done to prepare the Spark for towing. I have not looked into it for the Spark but most watercraft have a specific procedure for clamping off the water feed prior to towing.

Despite the limited storage on a Spark think about what safety gear you should have on board or clipped to your PFD. There have been a number of good threads posted previously discussing safety gear and such.

Somebody post a movie or a link to a movie with three people on a 3-up Sparkle. I gotta see this. I owned a Pro1200 a few years back and the seat is probably as big as the SeaDoo, and two-up was almost impossible if the extra rider was over 150 pounds.

    Ride report

Just got done with my first 5 hours of run time on the new spark and I really like it. The 3up HO runs crisp and is loads of fun. A couple of things that surprised me:

This thing is really dry, the front end rides high and splash is greatly reduced

Sliding a PWC through a turn again is just plain fun

Acceleration is better than expected and ski is plenty fast for my riding up and down the intercostal on the west coast of Florida. I am 6'1" and go 275 and it pulls my big self around great!

Jumps boat wakes with ease and flies centered. The slim seat makes moving around in the air and through turns way more fun.

Wash down and flush is a breeze, I live on the water and the light weight makes this thing easy to ride on my sport port dock

After having reverse for a lot of years now I miss it on the spark. When the kits come out I'll be putting one on.

All in all I give it really high marks. This will be my go to ski for everything but towing the tube with my three kids. Two up will be fine, I don't see fitting three on this unless two of the three are kids.

If I had to compare it to a dirt bike it would be 250 two stroke, fun, flickable, and versatile. Way more fun than the supercharged 215 I traded.
