    thanks for all the info jerry. it will be 2 weeks before i can start the rebiuld. i will look into the shims and stud bolt kit what tension on the spring do you suggest. running r3 with et15.5.

    Good choice! With the super single springs no need for any additional shims if you plan to keep RPM under 9000.

    I was more referring to the hot cams valve shim kit. You might be ok just changing springs, worth checking your clearances and adjusting them while you are in there IMO. Mine where out to lunch, but I had to replace my valves and get the seats done.

    yes rpm's will be under 9000 so thats why i chose that kit, i will get the stud kit on order today jerry.
