Dean just called me with great results testing on a stock class ski with stock pump. His exact word was "phenomenal"
In fact, he ordered three more.

I asked him to post some input here on this thread so stay tuned

    All orders have shipped today!

I have decided to go with a hard coat black finish on these.

    Thanks again for your business!

Would this work with the solas/riva 160mm pump?

    What to do first:
    Prop pitch?
    Cone washers?
    Nozzle size?

Would start with the part that takes the longest to change , would get a base line prop if your done with motor mods . Then nozzle size the cone , but not sure yet with this cone how many rpms will be affected . Will find out soon .

Just out of curiousity Jerry, how much bigger are the cones compared to say the R&D anti-cav cone or even the stock cone sine the R&D cone isn't much bigger than the stock cone. Do you happen to have a pic of them side by side? Just trying to get an idea of how radical the changes may or may not be.

Also, I'm guessing we will have to cut the syphon bilge in the venturi nozzle to allow the cone to clear?

Jerry very interested ! Assume these raise the pump tunnel pressure some what ! Anyone done pump pressure readings ?
Will this mod be safe with OEM FZS pump tunnel with mods or do you recommend tunnel reinforcement ? Just asking and looking forward to trying one

this cone is going to change the internal path of water though the venturi.open up the nozzle a bit and you shouldnt have an issue with pressure.i run a similar cone with a 84mm nozzle 13/25 skat trak and it shoots out of the water on holeshot

My advice is to install the cone without any spacers and no other changes. Ride the ski and note any changes.
More than likely you will see a slight RPM loss, but speed remains the same. This is a gain!
Now, take counter measures to get the RPM back (open up nozzle/reduce pitch) and then you will see higher top speeds than you have before.

Keep playing around with adding spacers, etc. as above to get your setup fine tuned.
