Skat Trak Services & Pricing
I just hung up the phone with Glen Perry of Skat Trak. Great guy and super helpful!
Here are some of the services his company offers and the prices associated with them.
Modify your pump to a tripple bearing design $348.12
This comes with a billet pump cone.
To add a stainless steel wear ring add $213
He can do this with either a solid piece of stainless, or stainless over delrin.
Skat can modify your stock venturi to accomodate different sized
nozzles. The cost for this is $225 and you get 3 different sized nozzles.
If you want Skat to supply the venturi nozzle add $101 to the cost.
Skat also has new 4 blade props at a cost of $275 each
10/21 pitch for the RXP
13/17 pitch for the RXT
They can also do custom pitch's (call for info)
Skat Trak can be contacted at 800-969-7528
Glen Perry's email address is gperry@skat-trak.com
As you guessed it, I am shipping out a pump to Glen tomorrow to get all the mods

Jerry, I got the new 3 bearing design, didn't see it though, Mark has it.

Have they done any testing on these props? Are they the traditional "loose top speed, but gain accel and hookup" Skat props or are they something new?

By the way, Skat also makes a 3 blade prop, but you must run the Rotax Racing two piece coupled driveshaft.
Glen mentioned that sometime in the future they may make a 3 blade that will fit the stock driveshaft.

Glen said that they are comparable to the Solas props, but they put a different finnish on their props.
I am sending him one of my Solas props that he will repair the burn marks on and will put his special finnish. I can't wait to try it out.

that sounds competitively reasonable for the triple bearing and SS wear ring... sure beats the 300 bucks that people were paying for just the SS wear ring.
you mention they replace the nose cone to billet.... they still utilize grease lubrication? or they switched to an oil?
do you foresee any advatage to solid SS ring versus a sleeve over the delrin? is the cost for this the same either way?

Shibby, the tripple bearing mod uses oil vs. grease. There is a plug in the billet cone to insert the oil.
Rich, that is awsome. Didn't know you had the hookup on Skat props.
The prices shown above are full retail.

the 10/21 is just what they recommend for a stock replacement impeller on the RXP .... which if i remember correctly is the same exact pitch that our stock props are.... hmmm.. if they bring out a new 3 blade for modified craft i'd be anxious to try it out... ... (on the stock shaft)
