Keep it stock. Put lifter wedges and steering if you want and call it a day.

Valve clearance checks aren't called for until 100 hours, although it's fairly straight forward and I did it anyway.

Was in the dealership around late January to see when the 14s were due in ,been a long time customer in buying skis and parts so his words were something like..
" I wish I can sell it back to Kawa at cost ,sales are dismal (300x)my best seller is the Yamaha VXR"...

I could see what he has left if you want, their price quote OTD on my 2011 was the best at the time in NJ/NY area..I'll get back to you by phone tues/wed..

The only thing I have changed on my 300X is a Jettrim custom medium slip vinyl seat cover so far.

Piggyback off this thread for some baseline info. What are your gauge numbers for rpm and boost for a stock 2012?

Mine are showing about 7560 rpm and 15 pounds of boost on the gauge at WOT. RPM jumps higher on launch but actual numbers when at WOT are just under 7600. Is this about right for the ski? Speedo has read a max of 64 and I know not to rely on that. Riding right now in 45 degree water with air temps in the mid 40's to mid 50's. Just wondering if my ski is about where it should be.

How does air and water temp affect engine performance? Been chasing these tasty little buggers around the lake
