aluminum wear ring (not good)
Well,I had a aluminum wear ring made at work and put it on my rxp and after about 10 hrs I just pulled the pump and the aluminum wear ring is pretty bad off. There are some real deep pits in it and it will not come out.I need jerry's info to get it out.

Take a dremel, or similar tool and cut slots in it (big enough for a big flathead screwdriver) around the top edge. Take your screwdriver and start prying it up in the slots you cut. Once you get it out a ways you can flip the pump over and use a long object from the back to knock it out.
Thanks to Franko for this tip

Red, I forgot about that thread when I needed to remove mine last weekend
So I had to figure it out on my own. The thinking definitely took longer than the working
One tip: when you tap the back of the wear ring with wear ring facing the ground, watch your feet. That SS wear ring hurts like shit when it falls on the top of your foot.

aluminum wear ring (not good)
No good luck on pulling that aluminum ring out,so I'll bring it to work and get it done with some cutting tools we have.I think I'll get some rings made out of plastic next.Any good info on what plastic to use?I was thinking pvc pipe.
