Anyone know why they cut the vanes in the pump.

So thats from an Ultra 250? Where did you see it at?
I havent heard anything on that yet . Anybody else?
Inquiring minds would like to know, since I have mine apart.

It's on all ultra 250's.

All the 250 pumps are cut out like that...............what I have been told is the pumps were "BLOWING OUT" the vains in the aluminum housing..............

The exact same thing happend on early model SEA-Doo's with aftermarket impellers installed.

They were milled to prevent the pump vains from breaking the edges...............they just did it before hand................and the 250X and LX are different as in the materials they are made out of..............at least that is what I was told.

has any one noticed the diffrant angles that the pump vains have 33degree bottom and 22degree top.....it's made to have a wedge installed....i was worring about the pump efficenty, but after seeing this and realising that with the wedge it straitins it's self out....i know that it's a MUST have if i'm going to keep the stock pump....or if i go with a ss magnum setup from skat trak...short money....good gains....all the best petros
