    2003 Sportster 4-tec Rubber Bumper 204071739

    This is a silly question, but can someone tell me what these things are for? There are 3 on the back swim deck. All 3 of mine are damaged and I would replace them, but the cost is crazy ($24.99 each). What are they used for? I just bought this boat and I am trying to fix the little problems.

    Number 46 is the Bumper.

    They dry out fast. I just took mine off and put the bolts back in so they would not be sticking out too far.

    Doesn't anyone know why these are on the boat? Is it really too obvious or a mystery? What am I missing?

    That's a good question. Don't know either, maybe for when a tower or Bimini top is folded down??

    Ha ha, this has been posted before, no one knows... Another great sea-doo mystery... Trying to get every little penny they can from us? All of mine cracked too, I thought oh 25 bucks for three, then got only one... Dirty MF'rs.

    Old thread but I finally found the answer to what they are for: "Those are there for the wake tower to rest on when folded from what I’ve read, and they even put them on the non-tower boats."
