If your problem is only occurring when washing try using a leaf blower to get rid of the water. It works great, a lot less effort.

plate on zip-tie "rings" for years..still on my single, but wrapping it around the frame works on my double.

I have a small wet vac dedicated to sucking out foot wells and hulls...w/a reducer and hard house.
After 8 years, and a few engine failures, it's sucked up enough crap to have my vac declared an EPA Super Fund site.

Use a chamois to get the water out of the footwells... I scoop it out by hand and then follow up with the chamois or a sponge. If you have huge footwells- like a GPR or one of the new seadoos.. its the only way to get it all.

Here in Florida they will issue you a motorcycle plate...I never have a problem with it getting in the way now. Just have to ask for the smaller plate.

Shockingly with all of the other nanny state crap we have to deal with here and all the other DNR annoyances we have.

I stopped by a local big rig diesel mechanic shop. Asked if they had any used rubber truck mud flaps. They gave me a 1/2 of one, used the license plate as a template & cut her up. Bolted the plate on it & it works just marvelous! I'll try to get a pic up.
